A Russian "what I eat in a day" video from day 12 of a 90-day body-change challenge. For breakfast she had rice porridge with fresh figs and coconut flakes, plus two open toasts topped with baked omelette, cheese and tomato. She brewed a drip-bag coffee and later drank plain water after the gym. Lunch was a homemade bowl of rice, paprika chicken breast, sweetcorn, avocado, cucumber, green onion and sesame, with MiViMex shrimp-and-ginger mild chili sauce. Because she wanted something sweet, her snack was a vanilla glazed curd bar (сырок, 40 g). For dinner they ordered three filled croissants (salted caramel, Nutella and pistachio), and she says she ate about half of each. She also says she felt ill after training and stopped counting calories after breakfast.

Breakfast: fig porridge and egg toasts

Good 875 kcal

Breakfast is a double act: rice porridge with fresh figs and coconut, plus open toasts topped with baked omelette, cheese and tomato.

Eggs bring the protein and figs bring real fruit sweetness.

“Why pick between sweet and savoury breakfast when you can have both?”

Next up, a big mug of drip-bag coffee, and later a tall glass of water after training.

Caffeine with no sugar, plus water to wash it down.

“A drip bag: for people who like coffee rituals but not washing up.”

Lunch: chicken rice bowl

Good 850 kcal

Lunch is a big rice bowl with paprika chicken, sweetcorn, avocado, cucumber and a sweet chili shrimp sauce.

A big hit of protein, with healthy fats from the avocado.

“This bowl has more toppings than most pizzas do.”

Snack: glazed vanilla curd bar

Mixed 165 kcal

Snack time is a little chocolate-glazed vanilla curd bar, the classic Russian syrok.

Small, but it's mostly saturated fat and added sugar in a chocolate coat.

“Technically it's dairy, so it basically counts as a glass of milk.”
